FIRST FASHION SHOW TO RAISE FUNDS FOR DAR FLOOD VICTIMS,WILL BE HELD AT SERENA HOTEL ON 12TH-JAN-2012
Pan-African Designer Mustafa Hassanali and the Mayor of Ilala municipality Hon.Jerry Silaa have partnered together to raise funds to help Tanzanians who were victimized by catastrophic floods which was caused by series of devastating rains late December 2011 in Dar es Salaam.
The First Fashion Show to be held in Tanzania for the purpose of raising fund for helping flood victims called fashion for floods will be held on Thursday 12 January 2012 at the Serena Dar es Salaam hotel. Mustafa Hassanali will showcase his creations that have graced international catwalk from Johannesburg to Stockholm at this colourful event that will see best of Tanzanian models parading his couture garments.
“I am very touched and concerned by this tragedy facing our fellow Tanzanians, and in one way or another we are all affected by this catastrophe, that’s why I together with our Hon. Mayor have decided to help those in affected by initiating such fundraising event”. Said Mustafa Hassanali
These floods have affected the country in general, Hundreds of the people who are victims of flood are not completely settled, and most of them are dependent on assistance like this to meet their everyday basic needs.
“I would encourage people who are touched by this tragedy to attend this event as to be one of those who can help and comfort victims by working together collectively and bring difference in those affected lives”. Concluded Hassanali.
Fashion for floods will be held at Serena Hotel on 12th-Jan-2012 starting at 8:30 PM, entry is 25,000 regular seats and 50,000 for VIP Front Row.
