Heineken
beer launched a newly designed Star Bottle Saturday at in front of a packed
house at Club 327 in Dar es Salaam. The Star Bottle is a new sleek aluminum
bottle that has a similar classic shape and glows in the dark when placed in
front of UV light which is commonly found in premium nightlife destinations.
The
bottle which in normal light is the classic Heineken green color turns blue
under UV lights and reveals an amazing shooting star pattern. The bottle was
designed to reinforce Heineken's position as the dominante premium beer
globally and the lifestyle beer of preference with consumers in Tanzania but
with same world-class taste enjoyed in over 170 Countries across the world.
Speaking
at the launch of the Star Bottle, Heineken Country Manager, Uche Unigwe, said
the bottle is designed for young tastemakers and leaders who want to stand out
in the crowd when they find themselves in outlets of choice like Club 327.
'The
new Star Bottle represents what the everyday Heineken consumer is all about,
leadership, style, and elegance. These values are also represented in where
Heineken consumers choose to consume our product" said Unigwe. "What
better place to reveal our new Star Bottle than at Tanzania's newest premium nightclub"
said Unigwe referring to Club 327 which was also celebrating the grand opening
of the club Saturday night.
Although
the new aluminum bottle is a departure from the classic glass bottle, consumers
can still expect the same smooth, full-bodied beer with a complexity that
balances fruity notes with mild bitterness that has been synonymous with
Heineken for more than 100 years. Heineken
plans to make the bottle available at limited outlets in Tanzania opting to
place the bottles in locations that match the profile of their core
consumer. Club 327 is not only the first
but the only outlet in Tanzania where the Star Bottle is currently available.
