The book focuses on human experiences; the ‘highs and lows’ of life at the bottom of pecking order. It is written with everyone in mind, you don’t have to know the geography of the continent to follow the story. With comic element, it makes serious issues a little less painful.
Synopsis;
A young man; tired of his village life in rural Tanzania (Africa) where he was born and bred, vows to seek greener pastures in the western world where he believes he can get all the riches the world can give. Misinformed and misguided, he embarks in an audacious journey fraught with all sorts of uncertainties. He is having to battle his morals to make any progress and he learns the hard way that ignorance has a price tag - sometimes the price is a little bit too high.
About the author;
'35 year old, proud husband and a father of two living in Reading, Berkshire. I studied Graduate Diploma - IMIS, BSc computing, MSc Management in health and social care. I have worked for various charities and helped to run some of them before picking up pen and paper to write a book.
Writing a book was primarily to satisfy my hunger for learning. I enjoyed my academic life and I wanted to explore other avenues that would give me the same level of satisfaction. And in all honesty the process of writing a book and have it as a finished product surpassed all my expectations – Great feeling.
I am passionate about the state of affairs in my country of origins – Tanzania. The hardship that people go through, little opportunities that they are presented with and whether anyone could do anything about it. Although I don’t consider myself a politician, I felt I needed to write something about it and hence the book.'
