EABL brand Tusker Malt Lager introduced an exclusive
club in Nairobi, Kenya, known as Tusker Malt 100 Club in September 2012, Tusker
Malt 100 Club is a community of Tusker Malt consumers which provides them an
opportunity to relax and network with like-minded members while enjoying
talented performances from Africa’s rising afro-soul talent.
To become a member of the club, you register in select bars.
Upon registration you will be issued with a membership card. This card allows
you the opportunity to access information on various events as well as network
exclusively with Tusker Malt drinkers.
When Tusker Malt 100 Club hosts an exclusive membership event,
card members do not pay for the concert, they just simply RSVP with their card
number and get the full access to the event.
The first Tusker Malt 100 Club experience featured rising
Nigerian soul artist Bez. Bez has been
nominated for Nigeria’s iconic Headies Awards and his song, That Stupid Song,
was the first African video played on BET’s 106 & Park.
He performed on September 27th, at a
raving event which also featured Kenya’s own Sarah Mitaru.
The next TML100 club event is slotted for the
22nd of November 2012, this time headlined by award winning
South African afro-soul artist Zonke.
The Port Elizabeth singer started off as part
of the band Culture Clash, with whom she won a Metro FM Award for the best R&B song in 2004 as well
as the Channel O Best Video Award in 2005.
She released a solo album,Soulitary in 2004. She
will also be performing hits from her new album, called ‘Ina Ethe (give and
take in Isixhosa).
The album is set for release towards the end of the year. Her
first single from the album ‘Jik Izinto’ is currently enjoying high rotation on
all major radio stations.
